In the midst of putting on cozy sweaters, drinking a nice hot cider (or pumpkin spice latte), and watching the leaves change color, there’s just something about the experience of fall that’s incredibly comforting. Apple pie, apple cider doughnuts, apple slushies, apple turnovers, applesauce—so many of our favorite apple desserts become readily available in the fall season, and serve as legitimate staples of autumn. And speaking of staples, enjoying the U-Pick experience at a local orchard (or at least picking up a bag of already-picked fruit!) is pretty much a rite of passage as a member of society during this coveted period of time between the heat of summer and the bitter cool of winter. Check out our full list of the best apple picking spots in every state.
