During the episode that aired on July 31, Boyz II Men founding members Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman were doin’ just fine until host Steve Harvey tasked each of the boys with a simple request: name one month during the year that only contains five letters. And both Grammy-winning vocalists blew it. “July,” Morris responded, one-letter short of a correct answer. Harvey, who was stunned by the out-of-bound response, can be heard chuckling, “Oh lord,” as Morris’ incorrect answer popped up on the screen. “Awwww, damn. I straight up thought that—oh, man. Ugh,” said a confused Morris. And as the Boyz II Men vocalist walked off the stage, he hyped up his friend. “You smarter than me, Shawn,” he called. “You smarter than me!” Ironically, though, Stockman was also stumped by that question. “August,” he spurted out before immediately shaking his head in shame. “He’s not smarter than me, Steve! He’s not smarter than me,” Morris can be heard cheering. “There’s a lot of pressure, Steve. There’s a lot of pressure, man," Stockman let out in a huff before attempting to scurry off stage. “No, Shawn, you actually have to stay out here and deal with it," scolded Harvey. As if losing the game by nine points wasn’t bad enough, the show’s host continued to dig into the singers just because he could. “All we need is nine damn people that don’t know that it’s two U’s in August," he joked. “If we get rid of one of them damn U’s, our a** is making the money!” Watch the full clip in the embedded video above or by clicking here.
