Cheryl filed the papers in a Los Angeles courthouse on Friday, Feb. 18, according to TMZ, listing their date of separation as Jan. 7. Cheryl cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. TMZ also reported that the papers indicated that the couple have a prenuptial agreement. In the weeks since filing for divorce, Burke has been taking time for herself and reflecting on her marriage and future, even revisiting her wedding venue—with her canine companion. “Taking a few days alone to focus inward, reflect and really try to feel my feelings—with my partner in crime of course ♥️,” she posted on Instagram. “I think it’s important to note, that I am so fortunate to be able to pause and take this time for myself.
