Like the true creative she is, Cox put her own spin on Swift’s viral hit off her newest album, Midnights, that’s being used alongside the latest social media craze. The “#TSAntiHeroChallenge” tasks users with exploring their own characteristics and insecurities, like Swift does in the song. The trend, which started as a promotion between Swift and YouTube Shorts, has since taken off across all social media platforms; its presence can also be felt on TikTok and Instagram Reels–which is where Cox ultimately decided to share her version. In the video, Swift’s “Anti-Hero” played in the background as Cox, 58, pretended to get ready in her dressing room. Suddenly, she stumbled upon a bloody knife in one of the vanity’s drawers. Then, as soon as the chorus hit, Ghostface popped up from behind Cox and began to play along to the tune. “It’s me, Hi! I’m the problem; it’s me,” sang Swift as the classic killer motioned at himself. “He is ALWAYS the problem,” Cox joked in the video’s caption. Fans quickly showed their appreciation for Cox’s imagination and dedication to the bit. “you + taylor swift = perfection !! two icons 🥰💞,” gushed one. “scream (taylor’s version),” quipped another. Someone else referenced Cox’s character in the upcoming flick, exclaiming, “Don’t Kill Gale!!! 😔😭😭 #Scream6.” Even the official Scream Instagram wrote back, “Slowly lurching toward your favorite city.” The sixth sequel to the original slasher flick isn’t due out until March 2023–making for a spooky start to spring! Scream versions one through five are currently streaming via Paramount+. More News:
