Back in 2020, Hallmark Channel launched a line of wines for the holiday season to coincide with their annual Countdown To Christmas programming event. In collaboration with celebrity winemaker Wines That Rock, the network created two festive varietals called Jingle and Joy that would pair nicely with your favorite flicks. Since the launch of Jingle and Joy, Hallmark Channel added Love, Blush, Holly, Jolly, Perfect Pairing and Elvis as well.
Is Hallmark Channel Wine good?
The original red, called “Jingle,” is a rich, full-bodied premium Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of cherry, dark chocolate and a hint of holiday spice. The white, called “Joy,” is a special crisp Sauvignon Blanc featuring notes of tropical fruits, white peach and ripe pineapple. “Love” is a rich and smooth red wine blend that has notes of blackberries, plum and fresh blueberries. “Blush” is a crisp and refreshing rosé with notes of wild strawberry and fresh white peaches. Bright, fresh and lively fruit flavors come alive with a delightful finish. “Holly,” a limited edition red release, features notes of blackberries, plums and cherries. “Jolly,” a limited edition white, features notes of peach, pineapple and tropical fruit. “Elvis” is a delicious Zinfandel wine. “The Perfect Pairing” is a late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc dessert wine known as ice wine. It differs from a traditional dessert wine like Moscato Bianco in that the grapes for ice wine are harvested at night when the grapes are frozen!
