A.B. Quintanilla was in a band called Los Kumbia Kings with Selena’s husband Chris Pérez In 1999, Quintanilla formed a band called LosKumbia Kings with Pérez. Their debut album was certified gold and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Tejano Performance. They released a total of seven albums, one of which was a live record, until the group—which had gone through numerous lineup changes—disbanded in 2006.
