The two spoke with E! News at GQ’s Man of the Year party this past Thursday, Nov .17, where they celebrated September’s family profile with the magazine, where the conversation eventually turned to the frequent discussion of Hollywood children.  Paris, 21, told the publication on the red carpet that they recognize the need to be “grateful for [their] blessings,” with Dylan, 25, easily agreeing, calling them both “very lucky” to be who and where they are.   “It’s always gonna be there and we got to recognize it,” Paris continued. “At the end of the day, we’re just grateful to be here.” Even so, the two are trying to “pave [their] own way” in the industry their father’s name has dominated in the past.  For example, Dylan is a talented musician, and Paris is working on his painting skills. He says they’re “taking it day by day” when it comes to their careers, which their famous father made sure of when he taught them to “be gracious” and “grateful,” which, according to Dylan, is the best advice Pierce ever gave them.  Paris joked about his daily reminders to “stand straight, shoulders back,” too, but was quick to confirm that overall, their dad is big on not worrying too much about about the little things in life. “Don’t take yourself too seriously,” he continued. “Just have fun.” It’s nice to see that all of Pierce’s thoughtful advice was taken to heart!
