Get to know this week’s She Rocks Spotlight artists: Originally from Toronto, Canada, Livy Jeanne headed to Nashville to completely pursue her dreams as a singer and songwriter. A hustler at heart, Livy worked her way into the competitive Nashville scene and established herself as a talented force, eventually writing and collaborating with some of the city’s best talent. She has since secured several major cuts including “Daddy’s Little Girl” by The Shires which peaked at number 3 on the UK Billboard Charts as well as two cuts on Jess Moskaluke’s record Half Way Home which charted in the Top 15 in the US and peaked at number 4 in Australia. Cassandra “Cat” Sotos is an artist, songwriter and international-touring violinist, known primarily for her live and studio work in country, rock, pop, and Bollywood. Cassandra has toured across the world, most notably a two-year tour with Indian pop star Arijit Singh. His MTV India Tour was the largest tour in the country’s history. She has recorded and performed with The Wildflowers (Tony Harnell of TNT and Bumblefoot of Guns ‘N’ Roses), ABA (Italy), Vitera and Tequila Rock Revolution. She also toured as a part of the Wrangler National Patriot Tour to perform for service people stationed in the Middle East. She also works to empower young musicians and songwriters, especially females, through her professional and non-profit work in the industry. Gabriella “Guitar Gabby” Logan is an Atlanta native and proud graduate of Spelman College and Vermont Law School. Her background in environmental and music law fueled her desire to start and manage the international touring collective, Guitar Gabby & The TxLips Band, LLC. Logan believes it is important for artists to be well-rounded and versed in many areas of the music business, thus inspiring women and Black musicians worldwide to be an unstoppable force. She is currently a writer for Guitar World Magazine, the Board Chair of Girls Rock Asheville, and Diversity Editor for Guitar Girl Magazine.
