Johnny Cash’s eldest daughter, Roseanne Cash, sent Twitter into a frenzy after sharing a throwback photo of her late dad with King Charles III, who recently inherited the British throne following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. In the wake of Charles’ new role as monarch, Cash’s daughter shared the snap with her Twitter followers on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, where she wrote, “I’ve been debating all day whether or not to post this photo, but it’s too good to keep under wraps.” “I expect a lot of captions, but none I haven’t thought of already,” she added. “But go right ahead.” Users on Twitter did as she asked, with many of them providing suitable descriptions for the photo featuring the King of country music meeting the real future King. “Coupla Kings,” one person wrote, while someone else wrote “Royalty meets music royalty.” Others couldn’t resist the numerous puns that would make fitting captions for the photo, including, “I Walk the Line (of Succession)” and “King of Fire!” “Both great men in their own lives,” one person wrote of King Charles, 73, and Cash, who passed away at age 71 in 2003. “Charles: ‘I’ve been hurt and I’ve walked the line for 73 years and finally I’m going to be the man in black’ Actually a purple and gold robe,” another Twitter user joked. “Great shot of the king…and also that Charles guy,” someone else quipped. Another user even brought the King of Rock n’ Roll into the mix with an old black-and-white photo of Cash with Elvis Presley that was captioned, “Of course he knew the king.” King Charles joined the nation in putting Queen Elizabeth to rest on Monday, Sept. 19, with a procession at Westminster Abbey in London. A second private service was also held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle later on Monday. More News:
