When the semifinals began, Blake had all three of his artists remaining: Wendy, Paris Winningham, who he stole from John Legend, and Lana Scott. None of the three had ever been in the bottom on the Live Shows, which was a plus, but of the three, despite being a country artist, Lana was the weakest link on Team Blake and went home last night. Kelly still had two artists in the competition, having lost Christian artist Jeremy Rosado last week when The Voice went from the Top 10 to the Top 8. That left Girl Named Tom and Hailey Mia, the youngest singer this season. John also had two team members still vying for the title The Voice: Jershika Maple, who he stole from Kelly, and Joshua Vacanti. Jershika was in the Bottom 3 last week and had to sing for the Instant Save to make the Top 8. She was in the bottom four again this week and again had to sing for the Instant Save, which earned her a spot in the finale. That left new coach Ariana Grande, who still had Jim and Sasha Allen in the running after losing Holly Forbes last week. Jim and Sasha started out as strong contenders, but two weeks ago, they landed in the bottom, so they had to perform for the Instant Save to make the Top 10. As a result, it would be surprising if they get voted through to the finale week, especially with the new rule change which says that each coach does not have to have an artist in the finale.

Who Will Win The Voice 2021?

Two weeks ago, if I had had to place a bet, I would have put my money on Wendy. The 56-year-old from Nashville, who has been making her living singing backup, is ready for her place in the sun as a solo artist. Wendy began the competition as a four-chair turn and, surprisingly, chose to join Team Blake after Blake used his Block on John, making it impossible for her to join Team Legend. Happily, it has been a winning combination to this point. But The Voice is a show that tends to reward the young, and that could work against Wendy in the end. Normally I would say, the young vote would go to 14-year-old Hailey, but Hailey has some stiff competition from Girl Named Tom, which is made up of Caleb, 26, Joshua, 24, and Bekah, 20. They started out strong with a four-chair turn and have grown ever since. In the last two weeks, Girl Named Tom have exhibited newfound confidence in their performances, which could take them all the way. If they did win, they would make The Voice history as the first group to win the competition. With all this in mind, it looks as if Wendy, Girl Named Tom and Hailey will all make it into the finale, as will Paris, who has a strong connection to the audience, has never been forced to sing for the Instant Save, and has the advantage of being on Team Blake. The fifth artist moving through will depend on Tuesday’s performances. (Jershika Maple won the Instant Save and her place in the finale.) The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Next, Here’s What We Know About Season 21 of The Voice
