According to Deadline, who reportedly got the news from various sources, familiar faces of seasons past—Patti LuPone, Billie Lourd, Isaac Powell, and Zachary Quinto—are coming back in the new season of American Horror Story. Quinto is the most surprising name on the list, as he only appeared in the first two seasons, American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Asylum. In the first season, Quinto had a small supporting role, while he played Dr. Oliver Thredson, a.k.a. Bloody Face, in Season 2. The actor made a big impression with his performance, earning an Emmy nomination. Currently, neither FX nor Quinto’s representative has confirmed the news yet, though Entertainment Weekly also reported the cast information. As for the other returning faces, LuPone appeared in Season 3, Coven, as the character Joan Ramsey, and is reportedly playing someone named Kathy in Season 11. Lourd became a fan favorite when she first joined the series in Season 7, Cult. She then starred in the next three seasons as well—Apocalypse, 1984, and Double Feature. Powell only recently debuted in the American Horror Story franchise in Season 10, playing the character Troy Lord. Actress Sandra Bernhard is also starring in the new season and is technically a returning cast member, but she only appeared in a single episode during Apocalypse. She previously worked with American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy on the series Pose, playing the character Judy Kubrak. Also starring in Season 11 are total newcomers to the show, Joe Mantello and Charlie Carver. Before this, Mantello starred in two other Murphy projects, The Normal Heart and Hollywood, while Carver played Huck Finnigan in Ratched. FX chairman John Landgraf revealed that the upcoming Season 11 of the venerable anthology horror series will premiere this fall, per Deadline. More Entertainment: He’s Definitely Not a Gold Digger!
